Second race went against a Srt 8 Cherokee with some bolt ons he ran an 8.5 and I ran a 9.1. I'll post pictures of time slips and how the truck sits tomorrow. I'm headed to bed, but overall I was happy with the times.

We'll have to get those times in the official list, once you have the slips posted. :top:

Included some pictures of the truck in case some of you were wondering why I'm only running a 9.05 1/8th with a 2.55" pulley. Toolbox has a full set of recovery equipment in it in case the zombies attack and I get my truck stuck :) (shovel, axe, come along, snatch blocks for the winch, tow strap, etc). The headache rack with hi-lift welded to the top was also an eye catcher @ the drag strip if you know what I mean :).

Im looking for a scale to weigh the truck soon... definitely over the 4500lbs it says on the door jam

Did you launch in 4wd? I bet the spectators were quite surprised!

Does your local drag strip not have a scale? If not, a salvage yard or trucker weigh station....

Where did you get that oil filter spacer? Can I use that for a turbo oil supply and return line?

Its just a generic one from amazon. Ill post some links and do a write up about it soon. gotten a lot of questions about it. Need to relocate the cooler and change the lines soon to something more aesthetic, when I do I am going to do an extensive write up with pictures. And yes you can use it for a turbo feed, and possibly return... I would recommend the oil cap return though because unless I am mistaken, the way it is setup you would be returning hot oil from the turbo in the supply line for the entire engine... probably not the best but Ill check the oil flow chart on the 1gr tomorrow if I remember. Im like 99% sure though. And yes the oil cap returns hot turbo oil to the camshafts but it then drains into the pan again and mixes around...

Confirmed this - oil filter is one of the first stops from the oil pump.

Went back to Irwindale with a co-worker and did 7 runs this time, fastest was 9.034 seconds. That's again with tools, dual batteries, winch, toolbox, headache rack, plate front bumper and a lift with 33's. Sorry for the video it wasn't my phone. And yes the truck is black now ;)

I have never had any good fortune, every time I went to the track. Whether lifted or lowered.

Launched backwards, roasted a clutch, roasted a diff, messed up a trans, and got piston slap. Maybe I just suck at maintenence.....lol

For reference, my truck with steel bumper, winch, 3" lift and 33s weighs 5000lbs with just me in it, empty bed. If I put my canopy on and load my tools and recovery gear, it's around 5500lbs. I'm 4wd, so probably a little heavier, but should be within 150lbs or so. My big ass weighs 220.

I take my canopy off a lot these days.
