They're all pretty solid. The newer the better. Less recalls.

I personally say the 05, because you're not stuck with that annoying TPMS.

05 as they are the fastest... no others hit 12's....

09 up dont have real LSD, but have rear camera. they also have lame (IMO) "sub woofer" ECU harness changed, so its not compatible with X1 (which isnt available anyway) and they now only offer SWB, barcelona red, and 'black', (i thinik they lost the pearl in 2011)

Remember somewhere around 2008 or so they started adding in an electronic LSD that sucks really bad.

I still voted for 2011 though. It's nice to know someone hasn't sat their ass in your truck!

Whats diff. with the cluster? And airbags like SRS? Thats not unique to 2011:dontknow:

IMO depends on what you are planning on doing to it. 05-08s are easier to tune and have a mechanical LSD but the newer ones come with a back up camera and extras.

05-07... i have an 08 and well its been a little problematic in my experience. :dontknow:

i love my 09 no issues with it and it has oem led tails with black chrome headights

I'd have to say 2005 because it was rated at 245 HP and 287 lbs of tq compared to 06+ of 236hp and 270+lbs of tq lolz.
Seriously though, it depends on what u want outta the truck and that's all. Like already mentioned the 2005-08's have an eaton clutch style LSD, are compatible with the X-1 engine controller along with the E85 668cc primary injectors and 7th injector(u can run E85 thru the TRD blower and get anywhere from 30-40 extra rwhp from E85). Downside is no side curtain airbags, no stability or traction control and no head rests for the rear seats.

The newer models have their pluses which are more airbags(safer), backup camera, stability control and traction control, and the rear seats are more comfirtable from what I hear and they also have head rests so the passengers head doesn't smack the glass. Downside is the ECU harness change so no X-1, and the weak ass open differential.

So ya see it really matters what ur interested in, power with either a TRD blower with every option there is for it, URD MKIII blower making over 400rwhp and a real LSD or safety and only having a stock TRD blower for added power(yes u can still add an intake and full exhaust to the 09+)

05-08 are the best years and have the record of making the most power so far and hold the records on the drag strip.

You can also go URD and the X-1.

Don't let the difference in horsepower ratings fool you. The method for power ratings were changed in 2006. All the years make the same power, (stock), it's just the ratings were more realistic starting in 2006. Buy the one with the lowest miles and fewest mods done to it. Hopefully that will keep you from buying an abused one.

2006 its what i have

05 doesnt have the TPMS, plus my stock clutch held the both pink pulleys and the drag strip.
I have proof on the clutch story...in a box in my garage, not blown up or heat spotted(45k miles)
