What oil do you prefer?

What oil are you guys running with and why?

I've been running Mobil 1 since I've been driving, but I may switch to Amsoil after reading up on some data they have on their site. Check that shiz out.

15k miles... they gave me three free oil changes, so i figured that i'll save that money for a bit.

after that, i'll be running either amsoil, royal purple, or mobil1 full synthetic for the rest of her life.

I only use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic with an O.E.M. oil filter every 5000 miles.

The only oil I use and will EVER use is Valv Full synth 5w30.

After reviewing oil properties I now prefer Amsoil and mobile 1 over Castrol syntec. Wix oil and air filters.

Mobil 1 for me.

I've read a bunch of specs on oil and crap, but heres how I see it

BMW
Porsche
Dodge Viper
Corvette
Lotus

all specify Mobil 1 full synthetic SPECIFICALLY

good enough for me.

Mobil 1 oil for me.. I've done it ever since my 2nd oil change. All my other fluids are Amsoil..

Im thinking about switching to mobil 1.. i have been running castrol sicne new and now i have 35k... is there something i need to do to switch to synthtic oil.. (i heard you had to gradually switch over?)

This is the reason i Stick with castrol - I had a timing chain go out in a 94 toyota pickup with almost 300,000 miles. I had been using Castrol since around 120,000. My mechanic pulled the oil pan to change the gasket and told me it was one of the cleanest engines he had every seen. zero sludge build up. After hearing that from him I wont use anything else. I almost must admit I change my oil every 3,000 miles.
