Okay, what weight are you guys using??? I used 3900lbs and 14.5% loss and I got some WHACKED numbers. I had a good straight run too. Stopped at the top of an entrance ramp and bolted down the ramp and then a good straight 1/4 mile. Here's the WRONG numbers that I got:
Aug 1, 2008 6:56pm
0-100mph 5.87s
1/4 Mile 10.26s @ 169.3mph
Max Speed 169.4 MPH
Peak HP 1444HP
Something did NOT work.

you went downhill, thats your problem
also, it doesnt sound like you started the 1/4 from a stop...you cant already be moving
if that isnt the case make sure you didnt put 39000...that would think you had a super heavy truck moving real quick

I was at a dead stop... but you may be right - the down hill of the ramp may have really screwed it up. Now I'm seeing what Steven meant... it's gonna be hard to find a completely flat 1/4 on the highway where you can stop and do this.

Last time I was at the track, I was able to weigh my truck. I was in my normal street setup (nothing pulled out of the truck). The vehicle with me in it weighed 3965lbs.
There is anywhere from 12%-18% in drivetrain loss, depending on vehicle efficiency and mods.
