Torspd's 2006 Black Sand Pearl 4x4 Access Cab

In The Beginning:
Since I was a little boy I have always dreamed of having a lifted Toyota. In part because during hurricane Alicia we were stranded by flood water, and a friendly stranger in his lifted truck picked us up, fording through the deep water, to take us home. And that my mom would take me off-roading/mudding with her brothers in their early '80s Toyota trucks. Well in February of '06 it was time. I went to the dealer and with what features of a Tacoma that I wanted. V6, 4x4, Access Cab, SR5, 6 Speed, non TRD. Being that there were none like that in Texas or any of the states around it, my truck was put to order to be made. Within two months I had a ProComp 6 inch lift and 35" mud tires. Off-roaded at Spring Creek nearly every chance I could. As a by product, parts had to be replace, and thath is how I became a member on XRU. I met a member at the dealership. His screen name is DreamMaker.
Being torn between off-roading and performance, and how incredibly strong the internet peer pressure was from this site, lol, the performance modding started.....which was the end of one phase, and the metamorphosis of the current state......I have always followed the motto of form follows function. This form functions much better in its new arena.
