Spotted: Hyundai Genesis Coupe!

wel guys, was looking around the auto mall the other day and look what i saw up on the podium...

Its an automatic 2.0T and is stickered at 24,700... its got leather and i dunno what else. but it does come with a nice $3k "fair market value" mark-up :laugh:

I couldnt get around the whole car because it was about 4ft in the air and there were cars pretty much all around it.. but i snapped a few quick shots of it.

When I get rid of the Impreza, its either gonna be for the R-Spec Genesis or a Tundra.

I've seen a black one here twice, probably the same one. Since I saw it both times while heading back home on the same road that dead-ends at one of the local copper mines, I think it belongs to a second shift person at the mine.

I also saw a V6 Genesis Sedan in Tampa FL a month ago.

...When the Hyundai Genensis coupe is out for 10 years and has hundreds of awards under its belt, then comparing the Genesis to a WRX would be rational.:smile:

Forget the cars...Even the 2.5L Boxer engine won International engine of the year for 2008. When the Genesis coupe proves it worthiness, then I'll think about it:top:

went and drove the 3.8 6sp man today am thinking about trading wifes altima in for the track edition

I like the look of the new Genesis Coupe... At first I didn't really like the front grill but it's kind of growing on me.. I really like the tail end of the car... They definitely have some strange color options (that lime green, what is that?) but it's a nice looking car... My buddy has a Tiburon GT and i'd like to see em trade it in for one of these.

Not if you're comparing the 370z to the 3.8L V6 Genesis Coupe.. they're right around the same price...

i think the 2.0t will end up being turbo ur going to be able to get power out of it easier, and i think they said they were underrated

I read in either Car & Driver or Motortrend (can't remember which), they said that the 2.0T had the same engine as the EVO VIII and was coming in the Genesis Coupe in a tuned down version and they said with some tuning you can up the HP significantly.. I dunno how true this is but i'll go look the article up when I get home...

dont know about the engine thing but i know that the exhaust is really restricted they showed a picture somewhere and it's flatend out in some spots. I could easily see these motors seeing close to 260-280 with tune and minor mods
