Just received this email from Toyota:

TMS will implement a color change for Carpet Floor Mats for the following vehicles:

Camry
Corolla
Land Cruiser
Sequoia
Yaris
Tacoma

Reason: Concerns have been raised about how easily the light colored floor mats for the above mentioned vehicles get soiled. In order to counter this we are changing the color matching scheme of those lighter color mats to basically match the upper Instrument Panel of the vehicles which are typically a darker contrasting color.

This change is effective immediately for Camry and Corolla. The other series will follow as soon as we sell through the remaining inventory.

Too bad TMS isn't issuing a TSB!
I don't know why, but I LOL'd at that...

And I just talked to my DM (District Manager), who said he does not know the exact color/shade they are calling the new floor mats...but he's going to send me a pic of them in the next 1 1/2-2 weeks:top:

Cool! I wanted to get some charcoal ones like I had in my Charcoal interior 2008 Camry. I thought the two tone look would be cool with the gray carpet.

Do X-runners currently only come with the gray interior or were there other options?

X-Runners only come with the gray interior, but other Tacoma models are available with a beige color interior.
Just heard on the radio the recall was due to floor mats getting in the way and causing the accelerator to get stuck :dontknow:
I don't see how that's possible considering the hook holds them in place:hmmmm2:. My Scooby on the other hand doesn't have the hooks to hold them in place, and they DO get in the way of the pedals, every other day I'm reaching down to move them back:argh:

I'm tired of all your lies Geoff.........House of lies!!!

Recall is a harsh word for throwing the mats away.

My gray mats are dirty as hell, even used carpet shampoo on them and stuff. Driver side is bad, those stains from mud/snow/slush etc will never come out.

Oh also, on the other recall issue, I am pretty sure there were much older vehicles that had way worse problems then we have ever had with these floor mats. I love how the fault is not on the person that didn't check the mat to make sure it was in the proper location before driving. I am sure they adjusted the seat, mirrors, and radio before driving but they didn't check their floor mat.
