clutch and TOB service bulliten

there is a new service bulliten as of november 22, on 2005 and up , under 60,000 covers clutch and TOB on 6speed manuals....i found out the hard way mine has 70,000 and i already put the CC clutch i got from urd in earlier this year and new TOB. but they finaly changed the clutch and TOB. cause the clutch springs were breaking and TOB was goin bad. my trucks in the shop now for a broken shift fork . should be back on the road monday

If you could get an actual TSB number that would be awesome. There has been talk about a TSB for some time, but no actual documentation from Toyota can be found. It seems toyota is aware of the problem and gave the dealerships the ok to swap out parts, some guys are getting taken care of and some guys are getting the shaft.
Anything you can give us, like a TSB number, or what it states on your work order from toyota that would be great.

^ditto...would like to have the TSB printed in hand if I ever have to take my truck in for the clutch and/or TO bearing...:top:

I only see that as a difficulty in clutch engagement, mine slips a bit in first and is a squeaky to bearing.....will this bulletin cover?

i wont be covered....as it stands and i dont see anything about the throwout bearing

It only covers if u put it in gear and the truck goes nowhere:thumpdown: this is for clutch disc failure.

Oh well maybe nextime

yeah, this is useless information for me.....I need the to bearing covered! I can live with tranny grind I mean i just would have to not shift in 5th above 2500 rpms....but the TO is pissing me off.

i also need the TOB to be covered..
i was really hoping for this to pull through as i ground 3rd gear hard today and 3rd grinds every couple days.

wow it still pays liek shit gotta hate warranty times 2.7 hrs for a clutch when under warranty when its customer pay u can get up to 10 hrs gotta love warranty but i havent seen any tsb on the toyota tech stream sight ill keep and eye out on it thoe

Just had my TOB replaced under extended warranty - had 38k miles about a month ago. Tech said it looked rusted. Still had to pay the deductible but at least the whinning has stopped.

give it 30days it will be back had mine replaced twice waitng on weather to clear up so i can get it done again
