When did they change the clutch fork? I changed over to AMSOIL 75W-90 and got rid of my second gear grind when I'm shifting at high RPM.

I did mine with Amsoil 75W90, tranny and diff and the engine has 5W30

REDLINE MT90 made a very noticeable difference on my truck. even though my truck is a 2010 with 3215 miles, it made shifting into gears smoother and way better than stock fluid.

Did engine and tranny the engine has a little less vibration the antenna doesnt loosen any more and second gear goes in smooth i can actually shift without clutch

What size is the washer is on the tranny drain plug? What about the torque required for the plug? If you want to edit the very first post these would be good things to include.

Just got finished with this, I'll upload my pictures I took. Its pretty straight forward.

But first I gotta get 10 post counts to post link... here is ten. Guess not... brb

Safety first..

Locate the drain.

Remove and let drain.

Clean drain plug of shavings and replace at recommended 25lbs

remove console and shifter.

Get your fluid ready...

Use a funnel to help minimize over spill.

Poor fluids, 2 quarts.

Put everything back togethor and viola... piece of cake!

I have a question about the gasket on the drain bolt if it has any.
Would it be the same size as the Diff oil bolt?

I just finished the oil change and a pretty good difference with the shifting for sure.
It really feels like there is a lubrication between the gears.
Nice improvement for under $50.
As far as I know, I think Toyota states tranny fluid change on my 2008 at 80K??? or something along that line.

I would not go with that schedule with all the crudd I saw on the magnetic draining bolt.
30K tops should be the tranny oil change for sure.

BTW, the Crush Washer on the Diff bolt was the same thing as the tranny ones.
For some reason, I ad like 5 of those crush washers I lucked out being proper with my install. LOL
