i want to paint my x brace

i want to paint my x brace but jus dont know how...when i was about to take out the x brace for paint them, i noticed that it is welded to the frame so my question is how did you guys take out yours??? and what is the procedure for painting.

its bolted on so you should be able to take it off. i recommend the regular procdure, clean sand clean and spray. just take your time spray what ever color you wish:top:

i think its welded. i ll look at it again.

bolted bro...idk what ur lookin at....b sp? please either gloss black it or red it....anything else is knocking on questionable

yah its bolted on but i see that welding marks...i'm not too sure i'll look at it again and try harder on taking it out.

should be just bolted and I am pretty sure it is a 19 mm socket.

It's just 4 bolts, one on each corner. They're torqued on pretty tight at the factory, but they'll come off with enough oomph or a breaker bar.

As for painting, well, it's pretty easy, but if you've never done it before, I'd go grab some piece of scrap metal somewhere and practice first. Just follow the instructions on your spray can.

Several of us in the Tucson AZ crew yanked ours off to get them powdercoated red, but rattle-canning it would work pretty well, too.

So today i have look at it again and it wasn't really welded. after taking it off i got it ready for paint and painted it cherry red.:top:

i'll be putting some pictures after i install it

I just used german torque specs
