While replacing the old stock battery i also got this..
NRG Universal Grounding System
• Brighter headlights
• Longer battery life
• Reduced audio noise
• Increased torque
• Increased throttle response
• Improved fuel efficiency.
Features a central plate to collect all wires from different ground terminals. Special copper wire mesh is used as a central core for better electrical flow. Comes with all parts necessary to install on any 4, 6, or 8 cyl engine.
The kit comes complete with 7 thick different length copper wires with nuts and bolts, 1 battery terminal adapter, 1 wire plate connector, a few zip ties and extra bolts.
I used 3 wires on the engine block, 3 wires on the body and one on the frame.
You dont have to use all wires. But I did.
I found some bolts that I could remove from brackets on the engine and used those.
-unscrew the bolt
-slide in the loop of the wire until the holes match
-tightly screw back the bolt. simple!
-also keep in mind that there are different lenghts of wire so try not to stretch them if they cant reach, keep measuring them to the negative battery terminal as you go along.
(metal on metal is the best solution, so dont use those plastic push in pins to hold your wires:bird:. )
Once you finish bolting in all the wires to the body, engine, frame etc.
-Screw in all the wires to the plate.
-Remove the negative cable from the battery.
-Place in the battery terminal adapter and tightly screw the nut and bolt
*for those who have alarms keep your remote with you, it will go off once you touch the cable to the adapter. That scared the $h!t out of me:laugh:
-connect the cable to the adapter
-then place the plate on top the cable+adapter and tightly screw in the middle bolt.
-inspect and check all the bolts and nuts are tight
-place in the sticker then your done son!
Ive been driving with it for about a week and the results are noticed from the start.
-faster starts when you turn on the truck
-head lamps (HID) dont dim when you are in first gear
-less vibration in first gear on a hill
