So far, I have had no issues with the oil pan. No leaks, no oil pressure issues. I would like a little more time testing, before I take any orders.
I am planning on offering this in 3 configurations.
Configuration 1
This would just be an aluminum spacer. This would include:
a. Oil Pan Spacer
b. Oil Pick Up tube extension
c. Oil pick up gaskets (two required)
d. Bolts and serrated belleville washers.
e. Toyota grade silicone.
f. Shipping to lower 48 US states.
Price $585
This configuration has no baffles or trap doors. This adds 1 quart capacity.
Configuration 2
Welded Steel Oil Pan
This would be like the prototype made, except I am going to make the spacer 1" thick. This still gives you a 1 quart added capacity, but would be easier to install. This is what is included:
a. Steel Oil Pan Spacer
b. Steel Oil Pick Up tube extension
c. Oil pick up gaskets (two required)
d. Bolts and serrated belleville washers.
e. Toyota grade silicone.
f. Two (2) internal baffles.
g. Four (4) BMW trap doors (installed)
h. Relocated oil drain.
i. New magnetic oil drain plug.
j. Shipping to lower 48 US states.
Price $850 + your old oil pan.
I will do this like the shifters and you can ship me your oil pan after the new one is installed.
Core charge for the oil pan is $150.
The major draw back to this design is weight. The 1" steel spacer adds a bit of weight.
Configuration 3
I do not have pricing on this yet. It may take a week before I get that information.
I am looking into milling one out of aluminum and welding in the baffles. I know the cost will be high, but it looks awfully pretty milled out of billet aluminum. This will have all the benefits of the welded pan, plus light weight and it will be easier to install, since the flange will not be as thick. There will be no core charge on this version.
These are the solid models.
I plan on making at least one of these.
