One of the things that is different compared to a supercharger is the delivery. If we had a dyno chart we could see the difference. That is where you will see diferences.

The TRD does not get anywhere near 305-315 RWHP out of the box. It can with a lot of help.

G

Pardon me. Lol. I might have been doctoring that up a little. :rolleyez:Don't want the TRD guys to feel any less powerful. :crinklehair:

True that. I would very much like to see the dyno graph.

Keep in mind to this can also be used to force feed your trd sc to make redonkulous power from idle to redline

-lol- power isn't as much of an issue with these trucks as it is an issue to get it useable to the ground.... all the power in the world doesn't mean shit when your stuck on jackstands... I'd like to keep watching this kit as it unfolds in the owners' vehicle.

I know that donny but there's still bragging rights to be had even if you can't use the power effectively

It looks pretty, but I guess I don't understand the whole rear mount thing. Seems less efficeint and more prone to damage than other options available. I just think an under hood twin turbo option with their fab skills would be just as easy and cost the same in the the end. Their numbers sound great and all, but I would like to see a dyno sheet and see where they are making that power.

I wouldn't have a supra so no I wouldn't.

Exactly!! U would have a NSX:top:

As far as Mark saying he didn't want to offend any of us TRD guys, well u didn't at least not me. I understand what kinda power is to be expected of my blower and I'm totally fine with it. Theres a reason youll never see my truck at the track and probably never on the dyno, i just dont care what it makes because i still smile every time my foot hits the floor. If I wanted mega power for a street car it would be in a newer Blown 6.4l Hemi, but I'd love to find me an older Mitzubishi Starion Turbo and build that car up, always loved them especially the blue ones.

So I have a sneaking suspicion that those "dyno numbers" aren't real. But a calculated number (that may or may not be close).

Why do I think that? Because of this post made by the owner.

makeadyno.png

Dyno numbers won't come from the X-1, ever. You don't 'make a dyno' with data provided after the fact. The best that you can do is use some variable from the X-1 (say MAF and Load), plug it into some formula that might be accurate. And that is what it sounds like to me.

Are those dyno numbers accurate? Who knows? They could be dead on, or they could be very far off. We won't know until the truck is on a real dyno (again, may or may not be accurate).

Is the truck fast? Maybe, maybe not. Put it on the drag strip, or snag a 0-120mph vid, then we will know if it is fast.

The numbers posted would provide a very solid 11 second quarter (with good traction - 1.5-1.6 60'), and be capable of +118mph and probably closer to 120mph (or higher) if he can stay in the throttle the whole time.

A small side fact, is that I know that Allan doesn't like chassis dyno's because of the inconsistency and inaccuracy. He is an engineer, and relies on reliable and consistent data. Which is why if he would opt to use his own engine dyno vs a chassis dyno at some shop.

ps.. $20 fagboa starts crying on CT about this post.

Lmao...
Apr made it so its gonna be nice. But the price will be out.of this world.. like.john faux internal -easy 10 grand, turbo-
- 7-8 grand, to never see a dyno or a 1/4 mile.run... priceless.. wait to see.it blown up will be better...

Rear mount turbo.... lol

Lastly, with drag slicks the rear is gonna fair to well...... while someone can be the original pioneer, get his rocks off with the most powerful truck...its like getting the most hottness and highest price hooker who doesn't screw... useless....

So imo if I wanted some serious safe power, I'd go Urd .. about the same power for a quarter the price.. oh yea.with way better customer service.....

This truck will never see traction to use all that power unless they are on salt ponds.....

So, would that be calculating power at the flywheel or the rear wheels?

I can tell you this, when I was wrapping up the Mk2 system and working with Scott on all the different X-1 bugs I would send him a data log and he would calculate the crank HP from that and then do a conversion he had for RW for a DynoJet and he would always be very consistently 10 RWHP under what the DynoJet number actually came out to be.

I also dont understand all this psi talk....of course that big 67 trim can make power at 12 psi.... comparing a huge 67 trim turbo to sc blower is like comparing apples to lobster. Not disagreeing with anyones statements but just seems crazy to try and compare.
