So as soo many have said ... I want to do this too. I see you said you painted the needles .... is that how you got them blue. Also is that white led and blue led

yeah, to get blue needles, I removed the oem red paint on the needles with some nail polish removed, then he painted the underside of the needle. then soldered in a blue LEDs for the needles

it took jerez about an hour and a half. he told me hes done about 50-60 swaps, so for a first timer it would prolly take you a little longer... where at in cali are you?

For every one here that don't fell like they can solder good enough to do this I have an Idea. it just came to me while looking at the pictures and thinking myself the same thing, how hard it would be to do. I my self just started soldering not too long ago, so my plan is to find an old circuit board and practice. practice makes perfect. I encourage all to do the same... end thread jack.
