I really like the OEM one that some of you guys have, the aftermarket one that is in the works I'm not sure I would like to much. I am one of those people that likes to see the finished product before I buy, peace of mind I guess...

If it looks like the stock trd as long as I can see how it would look before purchase I wouldn't have a problem, can't buy a car before you see what it looks like? So I will never buy something that's just in the air IMO

What the hell? Why do companies do that to cool stuff? :eviltongue:

IMO Toyota discontinued their tailgate spoiler because it was cracking on the edges. Every one I ever saw was cracked. You couldn't see it unless you opened the tailgate (if I remember correctly) but it still would be classified as a defective design if you had a high failure rate.

don't all of them do that? I think its because the tailgate flexes and the cracks happen.

city

if somebody has one they'd send me "I'd pay shipping both ways", I can vacuum mold it and we would be in business with maybe 3 guys with deposits. if that helps.

what city are you in? if you are in so cal we could meet to make the mold...

What causes the crack is your butt. When you sit on your tailgate, your legs drape over the edge of the spoiler. This weight acts as a lever and causes the cracks.

For me it was my Pastor. He was helping me move a dresser drawer into the truck. I told him to lift it and not lean it against the edge of the spoiler... he didn't.
