turned off traction in my 2009 x runner and every time I try to kick it out stability steps in and kills the power, does the same thing when I hold the traction control button and fully turn off traction the stability still kicks in. Is there a way to turn off the stability as well so I have full control over the drive?

Try this:

With the engine running, stopped and foot on the brake:

1. Push and hold the button until the lights come on, release the button

2. Push and hold the button for 4 seconds. The lights should blink or do something, or more lights should come on, release

3. Push and hold the button for 4 seconds and release.

If it works the same as the 4x4 Toyotas, now everything should be turned off.

Push and hold the VSC button for about 5 seconds while stopped. The TRAC off light will come on but I believe the system still lurks in the background. It is possible to pull an ABS fuse to disable everything but remember that you have an open diff so it isn't going to slide around like you think it will.

I know it’s open diff but even when I hold it and have traction off the whole time stability still steps in

....you can though? Just hold the button longer. Pressing it once is no traction control below 35 but auto lsd still active, press and hold and everything turns off.

Yes and as soon as you push it having some fun wam the fun natzi kicks back on and tried to kill you.
Only way to stop it is a Ecu fault. System goes down if the check engine light is on.
