I did get the truck back before i posted this...not stupid...and i do my own oil changes. i Used 5 full qt. of mobil 1 with a K&N filter. I had about 2,500 left till my next change. So i never claimed i was some kind of drift king...
lol...ooppsss.. as i was growing up my dad always said "you play you pay" i treated my XR like a toy and it broke...lesson learned...don't do the same!!!
So here goes....
i got some new tires for my truck a 2 weeks ago.. so i decided to do some donuts on the old ones before switching them out....did not go as planed...did four donuts then drove 2 blocks now i hear major knocking..sounds just like grumpy's vid.. maybe worse....no engine...
As a mechanic can you see from a diagnostic if someone over rev'd their motor? Will it throw a code that can be erased? If it can be proven... will they still warranty engine work?
I was planing on buying some konig lace rims 20x10 all around with a 25 offset with yokohama 275/35/20. I want the option of rotating my tires. My question is will I have any problems with the front rims rubbing the wheel well when turning..? truck is not lowered yet...i wanted the deep dish...
it sounds like a old sowing machine or a box of baby chickens chirping.....it should stop when you push on the clutch a little....i would take it in....just tell them the sound is coming from the trans...if they don't want to fix it...ask for the 1800# customer service number so you can complain...
