Hey guys my stock tires are starting to get a little bald after 28000km, so for the fall season coming up i was thinking of putting on all-season rubber untill next spring. So any brand suggests or model names would be appreciated. thanks guys.

I reccomend you put on some Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires for the winter... I haven't run my X-Runner in the snow yet but I hear it is herendous even with snow tires + added weight.. I'm definately going to put on snow tires for the winter, and keep my Kumho Ecsta SPT's for the summer. A good all-season tire is still not going to cut through snow nearly as well as a good snow tire.

I have 215/67015 blizzaks for the winter - I live in michigan - Never had weight in the bed... drove great!! I picked up my XR dec of last year.... I got bilzzaks and steel take offs (5) for under 700 bucks from tire rack!

Winter tires you need a narrow foot print so you don't float across the snow....

The KDW's are not all season. I'm living in Colorado for the next couple years and just put a set of BFG g-force supersport A/S on. Will report once I get to test them in bad weather but the reviews I've read looked good.

My opinion after a couple thousand miles. The carcass is softer and they absorb bumps better. Dry traction is slightly less but they are predictable and the slides are easy to control. On cold mornings the traction is substantially higher. Rain traction is also good. Now I'm just waiting to see how they do in the bitter cold and wintery weather.

I bought 235/60/16 Blizzack WS-60s from www.tiretrends.com with 16x7 wheels last year.

My X will go almost anywhere in snow and the wet/dry handling is almost better than the 18s, since the wheel and tire combo is 10lbs lighter per wheel.
In fact after putting the 18's back on this spring, it felt like I was driving on 4 slabs of concrete.
They Blizzacks grip far better in the rain than the Toyo Proxes ST, and cornering and braking is as good as an all-season tire.
I too want to get a better 18" all-season tire for the summer and rain - something with more sipes than the big blocked summer/AS tires that don't grip the wet road in corners and when starting up on hills.
I'm considering the Avon [FONT=Verdana,Helvetica,Arial]TECH M550 A/S.
