Tranny Problems

so i have had my truck for a year today, with no problems. i got off work today and get in my truck and my shifter is stuck in neutral and the tranny is stuck in third gear. anyone one have any ideas to fix it or has anyone had the same problem?

Im taking it you have no short shifter installed.. sounds like the shift lever has came out of the part it sits down into at the top of the tranny. the little balle joint thingy.... if you understand what im talking about :top:

I have had mine get stuck IN gear but not with the shifter in N :hmmmm2:

yes i do have the URD short shifter. i will be taking it out tonight and it is getting towed to the dealer tomarrow. any other ideas on the problem?

urs is not the first tranny with problems bro, i know of 3 that have been replaced under warranty. i've been lucky (knock on wood) have only had the squeaky clutch pedal problem @ 34k still going :top: if the dealer gives u any sh!t, let me know i can point u to a dealer that will swap it out for a new one with no prob.

i know the tranny in these trucks have had many problems, i was just wondering if any one has had this particular problem and if so what their solution was. i have a very respectible dealer and a top-notch salesman so i am not worried about them bsing me. but thanks:top:

We just replaced one last week under warranty that got stuck in 6th gear.

Ive got 24,xxx on mine and havent had any problems. There's one guy at CT who had his replaced 3 times. Good Luck :top:

the funny thing is when i got home today i got a letter from my dealer congratulating me one my one year aniversity of have the truck and invited me to come in for a free preventive maintance checkup. i will let you know what happens.

i like them the light output is great. did not like the three led things so i had a custom eyelid made to cover it up.

i had the truck towed to the dealership today and within an hour they called and said they would be replacing the tranny and doing the clutch TSB, and the truck would be ready by the end of business on monday.

i had zero problems ever in my situation, it was all the sudden
