I took my spare off several times and the light never went off

and yes the light does work...I have had a flat before, and Ive seen the light go off when I let pressure out for the track

so yea...MY spare can be removed without getting a light...not sure why though:dontknow:

I think it takes and x amount of time/miles before it will trip the light and if you park the truck anywhere close to where your storing the spare it may reset it's self before it has a chance to trip.

So that linked DIY mod from Toyota Nation has a switch wired up I'm assuming? If not can I hook up a switch?

hopefully I can just Reset it with the spare gone and that will fix it.

Otherwise I'm hoping that the Local dealer can remove it. I know they can do a lot of stuff with their Toyota diagnostic stuff.

Another option I have seen is people making a pressurized "tank" out of a small ABS pipe and put the pressure sensor in there. Same with using a small air filled tire from home depot or something. Then stashing the tire somewhere.. The air filled pipe can fit in the storage area under the back seat tho which is handy.

thats an idea a pressurized tank. well did the mod on my bros x and it worked. toyota nation never had a switch but if you wanted to you could use a toggle (on/0ff/on) so you can ground it when you take out the spare and flip it when you put it back in :top:
