Ketchup or BBQ Sauce?

Today I got to thinking... What condiment/sauce do I appreciate the most?

Ketchup has a wide variety of compatible taste enhancing applications. The beloved ketchup tastes good on many things (ranging from mashed potatoes to cheeseburgers). But even though ketchup appeals to many of us when used on an endless amount of platters; at the end of the day it still tastes like ketchup & is fairly simple.

Now BBQ sauce on the other hand has a wide variety of flavors. You have honey, original, JD, hickory, and a combination of many other specialty recipes. I loath for BBQ sauce on ribs, chicken, and pulled pork (mmmm)....

So... Which one is best?

Is it our best friend and facile companion ketchup (who I always reach for when chowing down on a nice burger)?

Or.... Is it the more sophisticated & ambrosial BBQ sauce?

BBQ sauce.....Everyone knows "ketchup" is for chicks....In all honestly I loved that sweet delectable sauce when I was a child, but men need saucy, sophisticated....MAN SAUCE! K-C Masterpiece, and my own custom blend ftmfw! :rockon:

That's a tough one.... I couldn't decide so I just closed my eyes, moved my mouse around and picked the one that was closest to the arrow. lol

I like both on many different things, but my favorite is buffalo sauce... I like it on burgers too!

On a serious note, save for chicken nuggets (sometimes ketchup, sometimes mustard, sometimes both), I don't use either.

id have to say BBQ!!! i use it on everything, burgers fries chicken hot-dogs, hell i have 5 types of it in the fridge right now! dont think there is a type of meat ya cant use it on! some times on brats though il use some good spicy mustard! but not the ketchup

Hot sauce and ranch should be up there to! :biggrin: You can put those on anything.

But I'd have to go with BBQ sauce.

sweet baby rays the best bbq sauce ever

but i like to put mustard ketchup and bbq sauce on my burger for a splendid taste
