Right on! My buddy with his quad cab is in town. He'll probably trade me springs if the reverse is true that you can lift a 4X4 1-1/2" Especially considering a 3" lift in the front would look pretty damn level with that lift in the rear.

So what is the spring rate for the pre-runner leafs? Will this effect the tow capacity of the XR?

Another question, would adding one of these to the XR lower the height instead of raising it?

http://www.thepartsbin.com/sitemap/toyota~add-a-leaf~parts.html

not to sure bout the spring rate but the should be a bit stiffer....when my shocks were still good they felt a bit stiffer than xr leafs. they are much more progressive tho...theyre designed to carry more weight supposedly....

about the add-a-leaf...i think those change the curvature of the leaf pack so it might not raise the truck itself....but it might negate any drop these leafs would have had

i think these leafs would be good however if you like to tow...they seem better under load and don't sag as much.

could always install an overload in the unhappy position to up your rate and keep your drop..
glad it worked out for ya like I thought it would..

unhappy...so it takes a lot of travel before it engages and when i put my blocks on i dont want to loose use of them lol

depending on the arch of your overload, do you think it matches your main leafs current arch?
if it has more arch than your main leafs, it will lift you some..

one way to find out..

but when riding on the overload leaf full time, be prepaired for a stiff ride ;)

so i put my overload from my stock 5 lug pack on these....first in the happy face position...way to stiff

so i flipped it and now, its rides cherry. not too stiff but stiffer than with the 4X4 leafs, but not too stiff. can carry MUCH more than before, i put my stock massive bumpstops on and i barley bottom out with a load now.

o yeah it also gave me a 1/4" more drop. so im sittin at a 1.75" drop out back now.

so which leafs are you running (4x4 or 4x2 prerunner)?

And your overload in the sad face position?

Can you snap a pic?

the leaf pack im running is from a 4X4...but the prerunners have the same leaf pack as the 4X4s

i used the overload leaf from my stock 5 lug pack in the unhappy position...i can get a shot tomorrow...its just that its almost 4 in the morning lol and its cold here:top:
