I'm running dtlth, urd tcai, urd mafc and solo muffler. I have carbon buildup on my exhaust tip. I replaced one crush gasket 2 months ago. Is this normal to have carbon buildup running this setup or do I need to have it tuned properly? Any suggestions

I have always had a lot of carbon build up on mine as well.

When I was NA and even now after I am S/C'ed, and still after getting the X-1 as well.

I finally went to a turn down exhaust because I got sick of cleaning the side of my truck that would get splattered with carbon/water mixture.

More then anything it seems to be how a person drives the truck, when I drive my truck like an old man that wouldn't happen, but when I drive like I normally drive it would happen a lot.

When you start modding this truck and modifying exhaust components, you're going to get carbon build up. ESPECIALLY when you start deleting your cats. When I first got mine S/C'd, it was terrible because I was running extremely rich. I had to clean my trucks exhaust area about every 3-4 days:thumpdown:. Some trucks produce it faster then others...it mainly depends on how free flowing your exhaust is, AFR (too rich), etc..

I don't have any pics currently of it, but basically when the exhaust goes over the axle, I have it turned down and cut there. So it doesn't come out behind my mud flap.

With an X-Runner though, effects kit has a cut out and it looks weird without something there, though I know a few on the site that have covered it up completely.

If you think it's too much suet. MAke sure the filter on the urd intake isn't pushed on too far. If it is it will run really rich.
