I got the itch already. I got Infiniti on the brain. The G was uncomfortable, so I'm leaning towards M35 or FX35. I won't be able to afford the 2011s so I'll stick with 07-08

Have you driven an FX35 yet? I've always liked them and would like to know how they are :top:

I'm leaning heavily towards a Jeep Cherokee SRT-8. I've found a few nice deals and I only owe 10k on the XR with 26k on the odo, I'm sure I could make some change on her for a down payment.

Or I could bite the bullet for two more years and pay it off then buy the Jeep?

Or sell my wifes Lexus to buy the Jeep (rofl yeah right)

I don't know, but one way or another I'm gettin me that Jeep. :p

Nope. Haven't found one I like enough to test drive. I did test drive an M35 though. Definitely could see myself in one of those. Big and comfy (for everyone) inside and that bish moves. I sat in the back of one FX and it felt really cramped & uncomfortable. I sat in a different one and the back seat was fine. Driver's seat is cozy on both M and FX but I don't think the FX has cooled seats, only heaters. The M has both. Only think killing me about the M is that I really want the 2011 but no way in hell I can afford it lol. If I get the FX, the first thing I'm looking for is coilovers so I can drop it. Luckily I don't like the new 09+ ones so that keeps my price range in the mid to high 20s

Well let me know once you drive one. I kinda wish they came with a manual transmission as i'm not fond of autos but I guess not too many people would want a luxury crossover with a manual trans...

Yea I definitely want to get into another car I'm also having tranny issues. Funny thing is I pretty much sold everything off of my truck so yesterday I as driving around do errands I said to myself I should keep the truck I still love this damn thing. Now I have second thoughts I was originally gonna trade it in to get an 05-06 Benz c230 kompressor but we will see what happens

I imagine it'll be like driving the M sitting higher up. If that's the case, I'm happy with the power and will just need to lower it a little. It would be nice to have the space in the back rather than the trunk but I'm just more fond of the M in general.

And if I can get my hands on a Kenstyle kit, I will be in love all over again.

if i could find anybody, or any dealership, to do an even up trade on a Laguna Blue Pearl S2k (with similar mileage), i'd make that switch in a heartbeat... but that may be easier said than done

I dont get the tranny issue thing..I have never had a problem with mine before. the only issue I ever had with my truck was the squeaky clutch pedal. I dont see it getting sold..I always kick around the idea of what could I get to replace it that would be nice..Its just there is soo much garbage out there and nothing really interest me. The only cars I do like I cant afford.
Nissan only makes the GTR I like..cant afford it
Mitsu has the Evo X and sure its nice but it just doesnt blow my skirt up to WANT it.
Toyota well other then the X they dont have anything fun.
Honda makes nothing interesting I think..all FWD and hate the S2000
Acura all gay
I wont buy a chrysler, ford or chevy..Sure my buddies camaro is nice..but it is WAY WAY WAY overpriced at 33k and there are already 6billion of them on the road..who wants to pay that kinda cash for a car you see SOOOO much of.
The only thing I would dump my x for is a new BMW M3..but once again to expensive.

I thought you wanted a Lexus GS? :dontknow:

Yeah, the GS350 is still up in the 30k range. Too rich for my blood. I'm still looking mid-20s and the M35 is the better value.

GS350>M35>FX35>G37 Sedan>GS300>M45

That's my order of preference.

That FX has a one-off widebody kit. There's only one on the market and it looks like ass (not the good kind of ass either). By the time I'm done I would have spent close to 40k to get THAT FX based on a 07.

You're one of the lucky ones. Your perspective is different.

The reason you won't get a Camaro is the same reason I won't even consider BMW. They are all over the damn place. I want a 6 series or a M, but like you said... too expensive.

This whole "rareity" business gets taken a little too far on this forum. I mean really, we value our x-runners in the sense that it is "rare" and special but just how special is it really? I mean yes it is a good truck and handles great but it's not some super original one of a kind design...

I think we get too focused on this "I see too many of these" and even though it's an amazing vehicle, performs extremely well, handles and brakes amazing and can be purchased for a good price, I still won't get it because some other people have them. I mean does this really make sense at all?

I can understand like Mustang GT's and cars like that because they make a zillion mustangs every year.. But with a car like, Corvette for instance, i've seen many on here say they see too many of them to want one. But really, how many C5 z06 corvettes are out there? In the bigger picture that is still fairly rare when compared to say, a honda civic, toyota tacoma or even base corvettes.

I included all the Ms in my "want but cost too much category" along with the 6-series.

Analogy:

If I say I'd get a M3 (if I could afford it) but wouldn't spend my money on a 3-series...

That's the same as saying I'd get a z06 but wouldn't get a base corvette.

I didn't consider buying a Tacoma til I saw the X-Runner.

If I was to ever get a Camaro, it would have to be a SS. Mopar would have to be SRT. It's the same concept. What both I and 05XRunner were saying is that there aren't many "regular" cars out there that we like.

I see what you're sayin bro, I was more referring to others who oppose such cars solely because they are offered with lesser trims (i.e. never buy Stang Shelby GT-500 because they make GTs and V6 Mustangs, would be foolish).

I agree with you, There's many cars I would rock, but only certain trims. I think V6 Camaros & Mustangs shouldn't even be produced.

As far as Vette's go, I would rock pretty much any c5 except for a vert. Coupe, frc, z06, are all amazing cars.

Oh... yeah that's just silly
Although... there is the possibility that you can buy a base model vehicle and put money into it to make it better than the "premium, fully loaded, blah blah blah" and potentially come out spending less.
