I had some special stickers made up in clear. I think one of those was in that traction bar box. Keep looking for it I am sure it is in there.

You actually need to do a write up with pics bro. Im interested in an electric fan mod

its already done man sorry, i can write you how i did it step by step and snap some pics for you of it done and the parts i used(sounds like a regular write up ). let me know man

its very easy actually and the truck really feels amazing with it done. crazy how much drag it takes off the motor. 14 inch electric fan(1020 cfm) from advance auto parts $55 and the relay kit $20 (it even has a adjustable temp switch) bout a hour job (bullshitting and beer included)now just to get the rest of my pulley's in and get those on i think ill be happy. hopefully i can get my traction bar on next weekend.

Instead of using the supplied hardware, i used a smaller nut that i could get a tool on. I also put Yamabond on the studs, washers and nuts. No leaks yet!

I also used Yamabond and I didn't even drain the fluid first and I have no leaks. I also used a smaller nut on top which made it much easier to get a wrench on and tighten down.

big difference man.definately worth the $90 in every way. on top of that i did my nst crank pulley, still waiting on the water pump and alt. it should be lovely after that.

what size is this small nut everyone is talking about? im putting my trac bar on this weekend might need to use this small nut.let me know

Right on man, i did my 97 hardbody with an E fan. Real easy to do. I was more curious how yours looks. And what parts you used(you already stated though) and any problems(sounds like you had none) you may have had. Might be worth another thread in the correct section to some of us out there to get a different perspective.

Sorry for the thread jack:ahhhhh:

no prob dave. ill snap a few pics and do a play by play. that, added to ketchups video write up and pics should be pretty comprehensive right there. i aint gonna lie though. its simple simple, took all of a hour (with smoking and joking and beer) and is a instant gratification mod. i could feel it right off the bat. truck revs alot faster, cleaner and just feels alot lighter to the touch man. much more responsive. if you havent done this to your truck its a easy $100 and less mod thats really worth it man. glad i found ketchups write up and happy i did it. dont know why i never thought of it. i change a heavy electric fan on my evo for a light one, should of done my truck forever ago.:top:

Did you dump out the fluid in the rear to install the bar? If so how many quarts did it take. I wanna do mine soon!

Not trying to step on your feet... But I'm not sure how well your e-fan will work without it being on a shroud evenly pulling air through the radiator. Congrats on the trac bar... Seriously considering this to be my next mod.

this is the same E fan i ran on my evo (no shroud) for 2 years no over heating (514whp 500wtq 32 psi on E85 daily driver) in miami in bumper to bumper traffic for 4 hours no over heating.

2 days ago in the truck 2 hours bumper to bumper traffic 92 degree day (dont know the ambient temp in traffic, had to be 98+ with exhaust fumes and all the cars, temp gauge didnt budge. funny to see all the looks when it comes on though, sounds like a jet motor just turned on under my hood

Cool, if it's working for ya... then more power to you. Every experience I've had with e-fans has been bad so I naturally have to raise an eye brow lol. Now get that trac bar on!

Please post up some pics if you can of the installed fan and the part numbers. I think an e-fan would be a fun mod.

zrgray, no prob man, im the same way sith certain parts that didnt work for me :top:

Emanon, look in the nst pulley thread (crank, wp and alt pulley experience. near the end pages) youll see the pics of my pulley installed and my fan installed. its just a simple 14 inch Electric fan from advance auto parts $60 and a thermostat conversion kit $20. unbolt the shroud, unbolt mechanical fan from water pump pulley and bolt the new fan on (however u choose to do it, bracket or thru core ties) and wire it to the relay kit. thats it.

my getto Nissan fans are still kickin for more than a year now. Stay on will the ign is on. Has a kill switch (that I have bumped a few times with this cast/ brace on my left ankle). Good thing I got that X1 with that guardian. Saved my ass a few times.

EFM is a good mod E. Revs faster. I love it.

brotha, make sure you get that top bolt tight on the pumpkin bracket. If not, it will leak over time. Best thing is a modified (shortened) 90 degree wrench. All EP x-runners have had diff leaks that have since been corrected with the addition of the custom EP track bar wrench (pics available on request.....)
