Not a bad plan. You must have a massive house if you are willing to house everyone that might come. Any hotels nearby (preferably the nice and cheap kind)? Holiday Inn's and such?

Not that I'm saying I won't accept an offer for a free night's stay somewhere but if the wife comes along, I might need a place to myself. Just sayin'.

Yeah I know how you feel and with freaking gas prices.

What part of Mid GA you at?

Yeah I'm down for meeting up in ATL but can't do the drive to FL. I'm a full time student w/out a job until June soooo won't have any money to save up. I'd have to head back home down I-16 afterwards so if y'all take 75 to Macon that would be perfect.

No, I don't have a massive house. But so far it seems like a small crowd, so it's not a big deal. Like I said before, Army Lodging is great. Cheaper and better than any Holiday Inn. And you have the added safety of staying on post. I don't recommend staying in Hinesville. Bad crime rate

I was sort of hoping to make this a pretty sizable meet but then again, the less people, the easier I'll remember names and faces. lol

****in' A dude. Coming from a world where there were only around 4,000 of your car ever made (The Mazdaspeed Protege... not the Speed3) and where your specific color was 1 of around 600.... I know the feeling. Glad to be a part of something badass!

Well, I'm down for whatever, until we get a 3rd driver for our group in the company, I can take whatever days off as long as I let the company know a week or so in advance.

But once we get a 3rd driver, I will be on a regular schedule of 2 weeks on the road and 1 week home. Only problem is... I dunno when we are getting the 3rd one.

What do you transport? Are they hiring? I have my class A CDL but I haven't used it in a while. I do have a security clearance and once you drive a combination... you can always drive a combo. Where do you guys drive etc?

Just trying to line up someone other than what I'm doing for when I get home. If it pays well enough, I could be your 3rd driver. Would sort of screw with us doing this meet together but meets will come and go.

I transport w/e..... I don't have a hazmat yet, but I'm with Schneider National. I do Eastern regional.... and by Eastern Regional, basically anything East of I-35.

They are hiring, but for the home run program, where we need 3 drivers, you need atleast 6 months with the company. Starting pay is .27 cents a mile along with other misc pay when dealing with the load itself.

The Company would run you through its training program. You could be just a regular Over-The-Road driver doing the Eastern regional, with that you get 1 day off for every week you are out... but you rate 4 days off per month if you wanted. I've been doing 2.5 weeks out with 3 days off, no one's had a problem with that yet.
