Ok so over the weekend I did this mod and it turned out great. I love the way it made my truck look. I don't know why I waited so long to do it. I def recommend it.

Doing this mod and I see the 3 screws to take out after the oven but not 3 before. Am I blind? I am referring to page 6. It shows 3 screws out before the oven process.

No...it's just that a couple of those pics are out of order.

The 3 screws that you see out in the one pic, but then in the headlight later on are these-->

(from post #55 in this thread --- you can see from the pic that the 3 screws are still intact, as well as the light bulb; which are removed in a pic prior to it (post #53). This should have been posted before the oven pics)

***And on a side note...page 6 for you is page 3 for me. People can change their settings on how many posts they see per page; mine is set on 20 instead of the default 10.***

I love the way the way the headlights look! I think my wife is so-so on the blacked out look but I think it's just awesome! Has anyone ever sprayed the inside the same color as their truck?

Hey guys got a quick question for you. I am wanting to do this mod to my truck but the only thing that is keeping me from doing it is placing the headlights in the oven. Is this something that i could screw up very easily or if i just follow the directions and take my time i shouldnt have a problem? thx for any imput in advance.

just follow the directions carefully. it definitely helps to have a friend help you with this mod. just don't have any metal to plastic contact. i'm not too sure of the outcome, but i don't want to find out. lol

Just be careful with it and it will be fine. It's well worth it!

Itll help some to have a friend to pull the lights apart but is not 100% needed really. The biggest thing to make sure you do is to TURN THE OVEN OFF ONCE YOU PUT THE LIGHTS IN!! A buddy of mine said he and his friend tried this and forgot to turn the oven off...once they opened the oven door to take them out the front clear lens glazed over and ruined his light.

Reflector Bowl..

Rookie question but i am having a hard time removing the reflector bowl from the rear housing. I see these two odd looking bolts, but when i attempt to remove them they just spin in place.
I am anxious to finish this mod!! Thanks for the help all.
