Thinking of buying an 06

Hey all, I have always loved x runners and am going to test drive an 06 in a couple days. Question is, the one I am looking at only has 27K on it, but they want almost 19K for it. It is really clean, but that seems a bit high. I see from some surfing that this price isn't too far off, but want to be sure that isnt a crazy asking price...perhaps not since it is really low mileage.. Thoughts?

That's their asking price and doesn't mean that's what u have to pay. They should have some wiggle room with the price of at least 1K. So ask them to lower the price as much as u can get them to. Seeing that it's a 2006 I would def ask for less, back in 2008 I bought my 2005 with 34K on it for $16999. Remember that 2006 is now 6 years old since the 2011 models are out now.

Funny, I meant Speedway Blue... Looked on both KBB and Edmunds and the difference in value is about 5K...which to believe?

This is from Carmax so I figure they won't negotiate..have dealt with them before and they weren't bad to deal with.

You should ask to see all of the service records. If they don't have them, or they are incomplete, should give you more bargaining room to move the price down. Seriously recommend having it checked out by a knowledgable (of current generation Tacomas) technician. It may have clutch/transmission problems that a novice might miss. It probably wouldn't suck to have compression & leak down checks so you know the condition of the engine before shelling out the cash. If it fails any portion, walk away, or spend no more than $10K (personally, if it needed an engine rebuild, probably wouldn't offer more than $8K to ensure the difference would cover the price of a new engine). If the transmission has issues, you should be able to knock at least $5K off their price.

Where do you live? I know in Canada used X runners are WAY more expensive than in the US.

I live in Virginia, it is being shipped from North Carolina. Probably going tomorrow or Thursday to test drive. Have a good friend really into toyotas, he has a bad ass 94 supra twin turbo, and has a guy at a toyota dealership that does all his maintenance and other work that said he would look it over for me. Looks immaculate with only 27K, so I may be able to tell if there are problems when I drive it, but you never know.
