About a year ago, my truck was at the dealership for.................i can't remember what, but i remember asking one of the service guys to tighten the bolts/screws on my shifter cause it was a little loose, they're really easy to get to in my Tundra

I pulled my shifter out a few weeks ago and noticed i'm missing the clamshell spacers and one of the setscrews

I'm assuming i can't find these pieces at Home Depot.........?

Gadget, or anyone else for that matter, what's the word on getting replacements ??

edit: here are some pics of the clamshell spacer(s)

Yeah, I have to agree with john that coupe won't be able to help you with those parts. But calling G man is definently going to be your best bet.

Also if u don't have those pieces where are the ones that were supposed to be in there? In ur trans floating around? I sure hope not but most likely they would just fall to the bottom and just sit there since they weigh more then the oil that's in there.

yea, i've been wondering about that

i took a long magnetic "retriever" and stuck it down in the tranny, moving it all around hoping to find something, never did

Coupe said another member had the same problem, never found the clamshell, but he never developed tranny issues, which is great to hear.

Not sure what the clamshells are made out of so I'm not sure if a magnet would even pick them up?

If you have the four stock bolts then you can take out the short shift kit until the problem is resolved. That kit is not factory installed and is not needed to drive your truck. Take out the spacer and the ball extension and just put the shifter back on.
If you don't have the stock bolts then I can take some measurements of mine and post them up. You can get them from lowes or home depot.

It's no problem at all they aren't on my truck anyway lol. I have a nst SS and a coupe shifter so the stock parts are in my house. The bolts are 1 1/4" long. I don't remember the diameter but you can bring in one of the bolts you already have and just match it up with one that is the right length.

you could go to homedepot and get a small metal pipe.... attack it with a dremel and make a little half shell..

if all else fails,.,,..
