So, the flagger was a cop? How can you get a ticket from a flagger?

When I was little, my brother and I would drive around on our motorcycles. We always drove by areas where the police were directing traffic. We did it because we knew they couldn't leave their post. We were in elementary school driving our motorcycles on the street and the cops couldn't do anything to us. We loved it.

My friend went in the military and when he was driving his Road Runner around, the MP (military police) told us to pull over because we pissed him off. My friend laughed at him and kept going.

I really don't see how they can give you a ticket. Really strange. What state are you in? Are you going to pay it? It doesn't even sound legal.

I'm in pa and I'm guessing they just called the police and gave them my plate number idk, but mp's ug how I hate them lol my buddy got pulled over for two MPH over...

Dang that is no good, many states will double the fines in a construction zone lol

Fight the ticket. They can write you a citation as long of they saw the violation, even if they didn't stop you. He probably won't show up to traffic court. If he does the burden of proof is on him. Request his radar/laser log and certification of the units calibration.

Fight it. Ignore the radar info requests. Its not a radar ticket and has nothing to do with it. Start questioning there radar equipment when it has nothing to do with it in court will make the Judge think your a fool.

They got him for reckless driving, not speeding "correct"? If so that might be there caught all ticket for the workers to call in. Can't have a cop at ever job site.

I would bet they have a deal that they just call in for someone speeding and they just give you a reckless so there is never a need for a radar gun.

wow kid...how old are you? your obviously a spiteful little prick. im a construction worker and if you pulled that shit to me or some of my friends i was working with you woulda got chased down and got your ass beat. i was going threw a construction zone once.... i was going 30mph.. then the flagger held the "slow" sign in front of me.. so i slower down to like 25 or so... as i went to pass him he lowered the sign and hit my car (not the X)..... he was a cop...what an A*$ hole.....

thats completely different than knowingly intending on causing bodily harm to someone. thats a dick move and i would have gotten outta my vehicle and made sure he knew. just imagine if you did that to a cop car...im sure your ass woulda been in handcuffs.

if that was you standing out there directing traffic trying to make a living and some asshole did this to you...would you still have the same point of view? something tells me no.

ok so ill even give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you WERENT driving hastily through a construction zone.

you can call me whatever you want. ive been called much worse than an asshole. i would be the bigger person and laugh in your face like the insignificant cockroach that you are. it doesnt give you the right to blast stones at someone. and once you to take it to that level you deserve whatever repercussions you get for intending on injuring someone. unfortunately for some i have a way with words that is much more damaging than any physical bodily harm. and that wont get my ass put in jail or sent a ticket for acting out like a child who couldnt get a toy at the store.

and im not even gonna address the "also you wouldnt beat my ass...just sayin" cause it just goes to prove your mental capacity is no more than that of a 5th grader. ...just sayin.

Well said Dirty :top:......this is a touchy subject since i work in road construction also but i operate heavy machinery. I was digging a hole one day and someone was trying to speed by us and didnt stop for the flagger so i stabbed my excavator bucket in the road to block it before he got to me so he had no choice to stop.......and guess what he got a big ass ticket. The flaggers are there for our safety as well as yours. If we have a hole in the road they direct traffic so you dont drive in it......if there is gravel in the road they slow you down or stop you so we can clean it up where you dont kick it up or stop suddenly and slam into us or someone else. If you are speeding by me or a coworker on a job i will scream at you to slow down and most likely call you an assho!e too. Signs are posted a few days in advance to give warning so if you have to rush then find another way around the job and save yourself the trouble of getting caught in traffic and us the hassle of worrying if something will happen. And everyone that says that they have nothing on him.....courts are pretty strict with construction zone tickets cuz the guys on the ground have no protection from a vehicle plus the signs are a warning for you anyway. And who said a detail cop on a construction job cant leave?? I dunno about other states but the cops that work with us will chase your ass down if you act dumb around the site he is working on.

Honestly if you do try to fight it i hope you lose and your insurance goes up. Would you still be cocky if you injured or killed someone!!! There is a reason that there are signs saying "fined doubled in work zones" to keep asshats like you from being stupid and harming someone. You work to feed your family and to live a good life and so do we so just help us out and be respectful.

Ok yous are confused, I wasn't speeding through a work zone I didn't ignore the flagger and do whatever I wanted, I was following another truck, going like 10 MPH , it was a back road, I think the flagger was just having a bad day or trying to be all bad ass and yell idk idc I'm just saying.. anyways I'll let u know how court goes..
