If you can get as much out of that engine as you can and be happy with it, then why Nitrous? Idk if i were you i'd leave it. All that work and then putting even a 150 shot through it may be risky with the age of the block and such.

A 150 shot is nothing for these engines. My tuner first recommended I do 5.3 heads shaved 30 thousandths with a 200shot.

Well I only went out on Friday this past weekend, on the way out one of my injector o-rings decided to leak. Just limped it home and took the silverado out.

I'll have it out this next weekend and I am sure he won't back out of the race.

Well here is a video of the slicks. First time out with them, was on a very slick pavement and I still got some traction in 1st on the 2nd try. lol

Well I raced the 5.0 tonight.

2nd gear 4k rpm thru the top of 3rd. Side by side, not sure if I would have kept going because the way these tires are the car walks back and forth on the road. Scares the hell out of me.

So 332whp 2600-2700lbs vs 420whp 3500-3600lbs was a good race.

No video, it was a spur of the moment thing.

Diff/Subframe Bushings & Suspension are next, I want low 11's on the same power I am making.

Honestly, my bad diff bushings probably saved my rear end last night.

I need to get a nice rebound rate for the front and a nice spring rate for the rear.

If I can get a suspension setup that works for my launch I should be able to pull 1.4 60's, that right there puts me into low 11's.

I was also running rich last night, 12.3 compared to the 13.0 I need. Seems like I always have a problem with my AFR being off. :thumbdown: But I could honestly feel the difference between pulls in 4th gear on Thursday Night vs. Friday Night

Just found out my original video did not have my 3rd time posted in it, uploaded new video with it and replaced the old one with it.

3rd run was 1.662 60' 11.637 @ 113.98 MPH for those that don't want to watch the video again.

Very nice car man, side by side with the 5.0 is about right since that's about what they trap stock.
