Strange transmission noise

Everything works as advertised...not an exhaust leak IT IS COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION

nothing on the b&m shifter could have rattles loose and fallen into the trany?

my clutch disc separated it had a bit of a sound like that but i couldn't drive it

Throw out bearing maybe? That's what mine almost sounded like anytime I was close to fully engaging the clutch.

No matter what the noise is, you're going to have to go in and investigate.

When did you put the diesel engine in there?


Pull the bottom inspection cover, that is right behind the oil pan. Also take the one off near the input shaft. See if anything is noticeable.

Might just have to pull the trans dude. :/ If it isn't something internal, then you are only left with the clutch and TOB. Maybe a seized TOB?

Weren't you the same guy that experienced the clutch exploding like I did? I think you even helped me out with some pics of the separated disc.

These damn trucks man. Toyota made them look good, but run like shit. :thumbdown:
