like fire and ice....but....with oil and water, in my cap and my catch can. I'm hoping for now that it's condensation build up but i'll find out when after i get my truck back from the shop for tune up and suspension rebuild.

Anyone else had issues with this?

You definitely aren't the first. There have been similar threads of the same findings.

I've heard its pretty normal on the 1gr especially if your operating times are minimal. My operating times are very minimal and I have yet to see this on my rig?

looks like its time for a head gasket? Hopefully its fine, but its not looking very promising.

it is a common issue for lots of cars, most cases its just moister in the crank case that mixes with the oil. try and let the engine reach operating temp b4 turning it off. a head gasket would be worse case scenario

i have heard about it happening with short commutes which mine mostly are to work and back about 7 miles each way, but my coolant resevoir was empty along with my power steering resevoir when i checked it. i topped off both and will be keeping an eye out for leaks, if there are any hopefully it's just the T-stat but i have yet to notice any spots under the truck. Truck runs fine and oil looks normal last change i did.

Definatly keep an eye on the coolant level. Hopefully it's just the short commute though.

If your reservoir was empty, you could have easily overheated your engine which can cause the heads to warp (worst case scenario) as well as blow your head gasket. You will not notice any leaks on the outside of the engine, the leak will usually be from the combustion chamber to the water jacket.

lol it does, i wouldn't put it on your sandwich though.

my resevoir was empty but my temps never went above normal operation so my radiator still had quite a bit of fluid.

i've been doing a bit of driving lately as i haven't been able to get up to full boost and my wastegate isn't sounding off as normal so i've been trying to isolate possible boost leaks. it will peak about 8 psi where i want it at partial throttle but only holds around 5-6 at WOT and my boost controller is about maxed out. i didn't really feel any slop in the turbine last when i checked it but it seemed a little more stiff than normal so it might be coming time for a rebuild.

awesome thanks for the link, i tried a search but must have missed this one. i'm going to have the mechanic rebuilding my suspension flush my coolant since i'm getting close to the 100,000 mark anyways and make sure there's nothing funky showing up....might as well throw in some engine ice if i'm already there . also i have a catch can that is evacuated to a valve on my exhaust, should be holding negetive pressure or at least neutral pressure on my crankcase but i'll have to see if the valve is still operational.
