ProEFI, AEM, or Haltech. Control everything, and have throttle by cable if you want.

I have made arrangements to have ProEFI to map out the Tacoma throttle body. So if you don't want to have the cable option, and want the throttle by wire to respond like a cable, BAM, there you go.

I am pretty sure though that the UCON and X-1 control the throttle much more responsively than the factory. Or at least have some adjustabiility.

Lol, knew toon would look into this, I have the engineers number, and I might give them a call and try to get a manual working module.

For Toon and I, it isn't or won't be necessary. Since the Pro128 has the ability to control the the throttle body. Plus it has the ability to adjust its response.

I just need to send them a throttle body so that they can map it out.

I think the X-1 can do it as well. So then, I think the UCON possibly could as well.

o0o0oo0o0o0o0oo00o0o0o0o0o....UCONN is looking sexier and sexier as We talk about it....

Torspd; Whats the most price effienct module to get my boost setup running? I want to eventually get a UCONN, but honestly, 1500 on the UCONN and 1200+ on the turbo, plus the rest is just...killer...roflmao

Put two Initial D cards in your engine bay. One for boost, one for Tuner. :crinklehair: Ha.

Save up. Get good parts. Plan which parts you need carefully. Execute. That will save you the most since you won't buy stuff more than once.

Wasn't Gadget playing with a signal booster for the drive by wire a couple years back? I think I remember him saying it was overly complicated but at some point he had to detune its responsiveness because it was lighting up the tires when he would hit the gas

edit: found this thread but it is not the one I was looking for

Their website still doesn't show MT.
Our e-brake assembly gets in the way of the sprint booster harness.
I've e-mailed them before (2010) and they said that they don't have them for the X-Runner (MT).

I trust the manufacturer direct instead of what an ebay seller says... :rolleyez:

drive by cable is actually a lot easier to do than people think... You just need to realize that you will have to get a tune for it. So an AEM would actually be a perfect fit for that which I will more than likely do later or possibly near future.

G, Do you know a time frame for this on our X's? Specifically 2006?

Yes......

No time soon.

I meet with these folks every month.

If I commit to a very large purchase it will happen. They have to make a new mold and split the unit into two parts with a cable between them. Sales are not their to justify it so they want me to pony up and lay out a ton of cash to cover the cost of this.

A better choice for me is going to be in some of the URD and iTronix projects.
