Where can i find bigger rodors!? I cant afford the trd brake kit right now so im looking into just rodors right now. What will work on the x-runners that is bigger than stock and slotted or drilled.

I believe Tundra racing still has rotor bbk on sale for 1300, don't waste your money on just rotors. Save up for the kit

U cant just add bigger ROTORS to ur brakes, there's no room! U would have to get one of the few BBK's that are made for our trucks

I agree with this I have found an alternate way to go about this I have brake motive drilled and slotted rotors end yellowstuff pads and ebc fluid and that combination works 10x better than stock if that's what your looking for maybe a total of 400 bucks that included me paying to get the fluid changed out to the ebc at the dealer pads rotors and fluid.

I think if someone were to make a custom bracket to make our stock calipers (or better yet, the 4 piston pre-runner calipers as an upgrade) fit over a larger diameter, aftermarket perfromance rotor like a 12" or 13" Willwood two piece performance rotor, it would be a great cost effective solution to our pint sized stock front brake issue.

Willwood makes a good selection of brake hats to fit the right offset of any vehicle to clear wheels and suspension.

Someone just needs to machine some nice sturdy brackets...

(cough... cough... COUPE) ;)

Run a larger, thicker, performance tested rotor with the 4 piston OEM Toyota Pre-Runner calipers and TRD pads.

Have you all tried changing your brake pads out? That alone along with some better brake fluid is more than most will need even on track days. Just saying, a BBk is often not the end-all solution for what you need, and most of the time it's excess.

Even with new pads, our stock brakes suck at best. The fade you get when they get hot is unreal.

Not to mention we only have a single piston caliper:thumbdown: Before I upgraded to a BBK, if a light turned yellow I knew to step on the gas and not the brake pedal. Now just the weight of my foot is enough to stop my X for a red light.

Butters drag strip and road coarse are two totally different things I'm sure u know. If ur getting any fade whatsoever at the drag strip no matter how many passes then u will be doomed at a road course where there's no time for the brakes to cool in between aggressive stopping, at the strip you've got the whole way back from the going thru the traps till u line up again and then go thru the traps again for the brakes to cool......that's more then enough time to cool down between passes.
