New owner of a black 2011 XR. I will be introducing it to a s/c and few other modifications in January. Is there any place on island who can install as well as tune? Anything will help. I am not mechanically inclined so suggestions will always help.

are we talking about the TRD blower? Can always just have toyota do it since you'll be needing the reflash from them anyways for your year.

Best way is through dealership. Like what mixplate said, you'll need the reflash anyway. It will cost a lot though. Did u get your truck at the little dealership by hcc?

I am not sure about the URD kit though

unfortunately URD doesn't have a kit available for your year. Plus the UCON isn't available for your year either, so only thing is the toyota reflash for the trd sc. So your best bet that's available right now is TRD if you're really in need for boost right away.

Well damn! LOL I appreciate the help! Is it possible to get close to 400hp with this? TRD does keep the warranty so maybe this is better. I'm impatient, don't think I can wait for the URD.

It's possible, it's more of will your wallet allow it. The trd SC alone will barely make 300.

You'd have to add quite a bit of supporting mods to your SC. Plus your lack of tuning support for your year really dampens the possibility safely

If you do get a TRD S/C DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE IT IN AT KANEOHE TOYOTA. They have the worst customer service and mechanics!!!!!!!
I just recently self installed one couple months ago check it out on my thread.

At first I didnt know how either and consider myself a noob too. But If you know basic things like changing sparkplugs, injectors, pulley belts you should be fine. But I say if you really want to do it and have the drive to motivation its possible to do anything. There is no difference between you and a mechanic. They do not have super human mechanic powers lol. They still need to read and go through the instructions and follow them. Also if you will do it yourself you will save more $ and learn more in your engine bay. Good luck with your Mods bro the decision is all you buddy have a good one:top:

Have not yet. Seriously debating on just throwing in some headers, cats, y-pipe, cai, and just waiting for the right time for a S/C.
