R.I.P John, I was fortunate enough to have been able to spend time with you at XFEST EAST 2012. It wasn't a lot of time but it was enough to know what a great man and father you are, you were always having fun and spending quality time with your daughter. It keeps going over in my mind when I was standing at the bottom of the mountain roller coaster with the rest of the crew and you came clipping down that coaster with your daughter and layed into the brakes at the end, your daughter was just lovin every second of it!

You will be missed

I joined XRU over a year ago when I bought my truck, I always got advice from different members and John was always one of them. I never meant him face to face but just from reading his post and comments I knew he was a straight forward down to earth kind of guy.

This year I am planning to go to X-Fest East and was looking forward to meeting John the most, I am sad to say I won't have that opportunity now. I will be coming to X-Fest East this year in memory of you, R.I.P. John

I really can't believe this thread is here...I was hoping when I read Kim's facebook post that this wasn't true. I can't believe one of our oldest members and a great friend to a lot of us is gone.

John was a great person that contributed a lot on this site, he was here for a Long time! He always had useful input, and opinions that might have seemed like he was an ass at times, but he knew what he was talking about and he made all of us laugh lol.

I am gonna miss him...gonna miss his remarks, comments, input, his avatar pic, etc...

I was just talking to him last week...wish I would of known it was the last time I would chat with him.

Wherever you are brother, may you REST IN PEACE!! And I will pray for your beautiful family as they go through this tough time. I can't imagine what they're going through.

I've never had the pleasure of talking to John face to face but we've had many good conversations on here. Whether it was talk on cars, or just shooting the shit, he was always a pleasure and very helpful. Even when he was unsure he would go out of his way to help and get an answer.

It's sad to see an old member, loving husband and father, and a genuinely good guy go.

May god be with you and your beautiful family John. Your legacy will never fade.

Never met John, but his replies to my 'noob' questions last year when I bought my '12 made me feel right at home here on XRU. A man can hope for many things in his life, but chief among them would be the respect and admiration of his peers - John has that in spades. RIP. Godspeed.

Agree with this we need to show the family how much John will be missed.
I never met him face to face but PM'ed back and forth several times. He was very informative.
He was not afraid to speak his mind. And always funny.
He will truly be missed !!!!

Man, sad day for all everyone. I have never met John either but just like everyone else has stated this guy has a wealth of knowledge and provided it to his fullest. I swear he posts in every single thread on this forum. He knows what he is talking about and helped a lot of us out with answers to our questions, even though they might have been asked a million times before he either answered it or he went out did his homework and provided the link for you. I bet he was a real stand up guy, my condolences go out to his family, friends, and all fellow xru members...

Oh wow, That sucks... My deepest condolences to his friends and family. He was certainly one of the best known users on here for being full of information and have a fair opinion on whatever he chimed in on.

Wow.. I cant say anything other than what's already said. John and I never butted heads, we always seemed to get along. He and I were similar in fact that many didn't get our humor, until u met us. He was a good guy. I know he thoughtbthe world of his kids, wife, this site, his truck, and gadget.

RIP john! You will be missed greatly here for selfish reasons. But u have left a void in it kids lives and for ur wife that's irreplaceable. I know you will be.looking over them everyday. You were a good friend. I trolled xru just to see you comments.

When I first heard about this I couldn't believe it. I had just spoke to John on the phone on Saturday and was saying that I was going to stop by his house on Sunday. I can not believe that he is no longer with us anymore. My prayers go out to his wife, kids and family. He was an awesome guy to hang out with and just shoot the shit about trucks, life and everyday stuff. You will truly be missed brother.
