Trade x 4 4x4 DC or not

I was at the dealership today looking at a new ride for the wife. While I was there I was checkin out the 2013 4x4 dc's. they look very nice I must say.
So I was thinking. Should I trade the x in for one? My x is paid off and the only reason I was thinking of a trade in is because well. New truck. Lol. But yeah I'm on my second motor in the x, x is lowered witch makes it difficult to enter some job sites. The access cab in my 08 is small. Would like to have better rear seats. The dc is 4x4 witch the x is not.
If I got the dc I could bomb it again on the trails and not have to worry about ripping the skirts up.
Auto or manual 4x4 what would you get.
Reasons I don't want to trade the x. I love it. It's paid for. Don't want another car payment. My x's mods. Most will swap while some will not.
What do you guys think?

u gotta do what works for u i was in the same boat but i opted out of the taco and went with a different brand i love the dc tacos but there really isnt much room in the back seat area

I hear that^^^. I'm thinking I won't get what I want for the x and get stuck with a new payment on the dc for a few years.

I've been pondering this for some time as well. Although 1 thing I'm sure of is I will buy an auto because of the shitty manual offered in our trucks. And this says a lot since I have never owned an autotragic

True it's paid for, and as we did go to look at a car for her she was trying to convince me to trade my x in. I was against it until I started thinking about it when we left. I was trying to convince her to get it so we could have both but it just wouldn't work for her and my three kids. They would all fight in that back seat. She is looking at a 4 runner, rav4, sequoia or the sienna. She is leaning towards a semi loaded sienna.
I'm still liking the dc. The guy at the lot said he could do a package deal if I trade in my x for the DC and my wife get a new ride. He would knock a few thous off each and give me full trade in value. ?? But like you said, I own it and am there for my wife. Lol.

i sencond that, but i've grown to adore my X so its going nowhere. but i see what you mean in all the +++ that you can get with the DC so i would go for it if you get a good deal on the x and the DC

I really love my X for the sporty look, yet i can and have still used it as a truck. I've pulled trailers, hauled garbage for dump runs and loaded it to the gills for camping. I just wish I had that extra room in the back seat and that 4*4 for the unexpected snow. But like you said I don't want anymore payments. I'm almost done with my wife's car and the X still has 22 months left

I've got an access cab 4x4, I like mine just because I get the snows and I had a 4x2 ranger and it sucked couldnt go anywhere, Now the DC would be nice,but as mrguy said the X's are sporty but I know guys that have the DC 4x4 with the sport package and they look good. and for performance I'm looking at turboing my truck and you could still do the same. I dont think that a 4x4 really makes too much of a difference but you can deffintly use it for anything... How many people can say that they can off road one weekend and the next go racing?
