Rings were burnt up on 2 of the 6 pistons saw them for my self. Motor had 2 quarts of oil left in the oil pan and there were holes punch into threw the cylinders which caused oil to be pushed through the motor.
So the warranty adjuster comes out and denies my warranty claim becuase *the owner/operator of the vehicle didnt have sufficient amount of oil in the engine*. The dealership told me that the only reason there was no oil is that the pistons failed and caused the damage. The rest of the oil was found throughout the exhaust system. So there was sufficient oil in the motor before the piston failure. So we argue that point and the warranty adjuster says well when it failed you should have checked the oil level and refilled it before you brought it in?
What kind of bullshit is this? Going to try and fight it but the adjuster made it very clear that he isnt going to let toyota pay for it.
