It does not work this way.

When you are ready to purchase a good used engine call me.

I will search at that time and see what is available, mileage, what vehicle it was pulled from, and if I can get a warranty with it or not, and a price.

Generally they are in the $3000-$4000 range. Some might be cheaper as the mileage goes way up.

I find that kind of high for an engine. Especially used and possibly without a warranty. When I was searching egay I came across some for 2k with zero miles and fresh rebuild.

Have they gone up in price??

I paid close to 4k for mine and it had 30k on it. Engine appeared to be well taken care of. Dealership quoted me 6500 for a brand new one.
Lower the miles more expensive, higher the miles less expensive.

Wish there was a used motor that is balanced, billet crank, and forged or titanium internals, and decked engine sitting there. I could use one, have cash.

One can be built....

Simply put for our motors there are so many variables and so little demand for it that it is not worth it for some to sit on that kind of stock...

If you want an LS motor on the other hand I am sure you could have one tomorrow...

That being said if your serious, contact Gadaget he can find you a higher mileage engine for say $1500 have that shipped to your builder of choice and start ordering up your parts!

I know dezod would be happy to help as well as URD....

Had one of those for a while. It finally found a new home.

Sounds like a bit*h to get that put in, the LS. Sounds like too big of a job for me. What do you think that would cost? A friend of mine wants to do that for me but I am worried that it is too big of a task, LS. Right now, he is making a mock up, and he is going to pull my engine, and put the mock up in thee to show me how it would fit.

An LS swap would be awesome, but there are some things to consider.

There are things like the A/C that run off the CAN bus which may not work anymore or some other control system would need to be installed. Brakes, abs, traction control And so on may not work the same.

Emission regulations might prevent you from registering the vehicle and might be restricted to off road only use.

Might be hard to sell later with half the stuff not working and not able to register it.

Might take forever to get the project finished with an unknown total cost.

Things are never as simple as you think or they should be.

I would love to see this done successfully.
