My right rear wheel bearings are worn out. I was looking for some help on how to replace them. A local shop priced me at like 1 grand, so I'm doing myself. Has anyone here done them and have a how to, to do this. Also what is the best replacement parts to buy. Thanks all.

Its not an easy job you will need a press to remove and install the bearing. There is also a ring that's pressed on after the bearing that toyota says to replace and not reuse.

You'll likely have to take the axle somewhere to have the bearing pressed off and on. Pulling the axle isn't difficult. But getting the bearing off can be without the right equipment.

Yeah I know I'll have to use a press. I was gonna have a shop do it. The hub/bearing assembly is around $250 for timken. Plus what the shop charges to press.

For anyone who needs help on this in the future. I was able to get a haynes manual and I purchased the hub/bearing assembly on my own. Remember to buy the retaining lock that goes on after $30 at the dealer. Taking apart the drum brakes and getting the axle out was pretty simple. The difficult part was finding a shop to do the press work. 1 backed out on me after having the axle for 4 hours. I then got a machine shop to do the work for $95. This was defiantly worth doing myself. I saved about $700-$800.

Yup. Sometimes it is better to do things yourself.

I have my driver side axle shaft in the process of being removed right now as well. But just to replace the seals.

On average the dealer charges 3 hours per side at labor rate of $120 hr at least. Plus parts would come to around most $800. So if they were telling $100 that's robbery.
