john

Had one of my senior employees on my team turn in his resignation and I have had to pick up his workload. Been working 60+ hour weeks again so as soon as I get a chance to breathe the decals will be done. I really hope to find the time this week to get the design done. I want to make sure that John's legacy lives on. I've done a few searches on the forum the past couple weeks and see his posts on almost every thread. :(
john was born on halloween....and had a big pumpkin tat on his back....i have the origional drawing of the pumpkin

I never had a chance to talk to John as I am a new member but almost every thread I read he has a post in so his expertise will carry on.
My thoughts go out to his family

I have been away from XRU for about 6-8 months and I just saw that John passed. I had one interaction with him once when I sold him some Trd fuel injectors so that he could install them and get some warranty work done. I never had the chance to meet him but he seemed like a great guy.

Dear Members,

It has been over six months since our dear John passed. I just want you to know how much we appreciate your continued support of our family and your thoughtful words of compassion.

We are trying our best to live life as John would want us to without him, but his absence has caused us great pain. We are experiencing the true meaning of loss. We loved him so much. He was our son, brother, friend, uncle, husband and father. He was our confidant, our go to guy, our problem solver and our entertainer. How he made us laugh. No one will ever be able to fill his shoes. We will strive, as a family, to keep his memory alive, especially in the hearts of his three little girls.

John's wife Nancy is an incredibly strong and loving woman. Although she has had to deal with the tremendous loss of her husband and the struggles that accompany this tragic event, she has been able to maintain a stable home life for their daughters, Anna, Isabel and Jonna.

John loved helping others on this site. You honored him the way he deserved and for that we are truly thankful. Please keep us in your prayers.

God bless you,
Christine Jeckot (Mom)

I've been praying for all of you since we heard the tragic news.

I had never met John, but his knowledge, help, and personality has been missed by all of us in the XRU family.

I have been reading your messages to John on the Legacy Guestbook and it breaks my heart, but I am glad that his memory still burns strongly in all he has touched.

I am looking forward to the day I can meet him face to face.

I spend a lot of my time on this site researching and reading old threads. I find myself time and time again reading threads where John had given significant input.

His knowledge of these trucks, and more, still resides within this forum and has proven to be useful for me even in his passing. I found myself reading through this entire thread the other day, just appreciating that I have been able to read his posts. I also noticed how Gadget memorialized John's last post, and thought that was pretty damn cool...

I had never spoken with him, but through this forum I feel that I have gotten to know him (at least some...).

My sympathy and condolences

-Mike

Prayers are always coming your way. I met him once years ago at a meet in va beach and he made me feel welcome more than anyone else. He always had jokes, good advice and willing to help anyone else. Every time I go though old threads where he had input I stop and read them over and over. He is dearly missed in this community...this family. I will continue to pray for all of you (his family). His memory will stay alive in all of our lives.

We would love to meet as many people who knew John or received any advice from him regarding their truck or otherwise. Please let us know if you plan a fest near New Jersey. We would be honored to meet as many members we could. Sincerely, Christine (John's Mom)

Thank you for your kind words and compassion. John would have appreciated your comments.
Truly, Christine Jeckot (John's Mom)

Thank you for taking the time to share this picture. I love seeing him standing by his truck with such a proud stance. He loved this forum almost as much as his family. His brother, Chris is taking good care of his truck. God bless you, Christine (John's Mom)

Thank you very much for sharing this photo. John looks so happy standing next to Nancy, the love of his life.
Sincerely, Christine (John's Mom)

I have tears in my eyes. I had no idea wonderful people, such as yourself, had taken the time to post photos of my son, John or of his truck. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to post these photos. I will treasure them always. Truly, Christine

Hello,
I am so sorry that you lost your father. If you don't mind taking the time to write to me, I would love to hear from you. Please share with me any memories of your Dad because I would love to read them.
Christine (John's Mom)
PS: John's Dad and I both still have the ribbons you made for John. It was truly a beautiful and fitting manner in which to honor John's membership in the XRU.

John was born at 6:07 am on Halloween Day, October 31st in 1973. I wish to celebrate John's life and remember him on his birthday every year as opposed to the anniversary of his death.
John's Mom
