With the automatic you can have it in drive while sitting still. That extra load helps the idle to settle down much easier.

If the idle settles quicker what does that do for us? Having truck in drive and sitting still does what?

Seems to be some kind of disconnect here.

OK, I will try to splain....

Have you noticed that after you disconnect your battery YOUR engine will idle much higher than normal for a while until the ECU relearns the idle control?

Well that will take a bit longer with this much BIGGER throttle valve.

What kind of power difference will adding the bigger throttle valve add?
Can you just bolt the adapter and throttle valve on to a stock engine or is there any other modifications or upgrades that need to be done as well?

We need some more info on this Gadget lol

ok
so since I am a complete newb to mods I had to look this up and makes sense now I guess
http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5762781_larger-throttle-body-affect-engine_.html

for my own knowledge. Is installing a larger throttle valve somebody with an unmodified engine and exhaust should do, or is this more of a adjustment for later on?

Are there any downsides to this whole thing? More wear on the engine? Decreased fuel economy? Sorry, I never even thought about something like this before and its certainly interesting.

If you are planning to do this could you see if you could find me a bigger throttle body at the same time? I would pay you for the throttle body and a little extra for a finders fee:top:

Check your local junkyards. I just picked one up yesterday from one of the local yards here. I'm going to order my adapter plate on Monday:rockon:

So is there any more info on this? Can it run on a stock NA engine without any problems? Do we need upgraded exhaust or anything for it to work properly?

Or just get a throttle body and adapter and good to go:dontknow:
