Hi guys my passenger side HID ballast was not working along with the fogs lights. I had the fuse replaced for the fogs and they began working again as I awaited for a new ballast to arrive. The new ballast arrived and I installed it and at this time all the lights were working. Shortly after that ballast is no longer working and neither are my fogs. Im very frustrated over the issue and don't know what to do for the next step. Can anyone point me out to the individual headlight fuses?

Thanks!

Check your ground.....any chance the fogs and the passenger side HL are sharing a ground? Most of my HID problems have been ground related.

What brand kit do you have? With you mentioning fuses is it safe to assume you have relay harnesses? Post some pictures of your setup. It might help diagnose your issues.

It is a set purchased from dash Z racing. I do not have a relay harness as my kit is 35w. Should I be using a relay? My high beam works fine and the halos around the headlight light up. Just not that passenger side HID. I will try to post some pictures soon.

Something is goin on with those kits u have... Definetly ensure the fuse that is installed in the fuse holder of the vehicle is of the proper rating. Also for your headlights u should have a relay harness for them as well... My apologies for not responding sooner. I have harnesses available and kits as well if needed.

No problem, i'll let you know if I need them. For right now i think ill see if I can switch back to the halogens for now until I have more time and $ to get the rest figured out. Just kind of frustrating. Yeah the fuse was of proper rating. I had the fuse for about a week, and when I installed the new harness is when it went out again.

Definitely get a harness and go over all your connections. Make sure all the connectors are pushed in the whole way, none of the pins pushed back through the connectors, and that your grounds are grounded to bare metal somewhere on the frame. Not on top of paint. I wouldn't point fingers at the kits themself until we're sure it's not an install problem.

Fixed the problem guys! there were a chain of things that went wrong. One of the grounds on the HID's was stripped at the connector which in turn mixed with a bad ballast caused the passenger side headlight fuse to burn out which also controls the fogs. The reason I found this out was I tried the bad ballast on the drivers side and immediately heard the fuse blow out. Pulled both fuses and sure enough they were fried. So I pulled the passenger side HID ground and re crimped the wire back to the connector, swapped the fuses, threw out the bad ballast and we have candlepower!:crinkle hair:

Thanks for all the input guys!
