URD T56 Swap Kit Feeler Thread

URD has been looking into making a swap kit for a while now. This is something we would like to do.

I do need a little help to get things moved along. I did acquire a used transmission for LASER scanning, but it went to a guy in need to get his truck back on the road. I swapped him out for his junk one, but I pulled the bell housing off to help another guy that snapped the throw out bearing snout off and needed a bell housing to get back on the road.

So, does anyone out there have a used transmission near the DC area that I can grab on so I can get this project back on track?

Need the stock bell housing so I can get the provision for the manifold support brackets designed in properly.

My buddy has my old transmission from the first time I broke mine...I can see if he will part with it..

I just talked To him and he said it didnt have the bell housing on it...

I will look for one closer, but if not I will get yours. Either pick it up when I am down there or get it shipped up here.

Which T56s are you using. Gen 4 F Body?

The current ones are the '98-02 F body.

I'll will love one of these in the future but yesterday I was researching and i ended up in the XXXXXXX website. And I saw that they have a t56 swap kit. Ive haven't seen one or saw one yet on an X before.

Yes they have one. Near impossible to get it. A few guys have it on here.
