In the process of sourcing engine for my wife's Gen 7 2003 Honda Civic Si Vtec D17A2. I'm bit skeptical about price and mileage? I located engine in Georgetown thats still in the car 2004 Civic 142,000km $500.00. I was considering go with a jdm spec motor.. Is there any change in performance, pnp and how do I know its jdm motor?

Hmotorsonline.com

For "JDM" engines... Usually there's a 10-20HP difference in the engines.

I'm going to change the clutch in the process. Is it easier to remove the tranny/engine in one piece or separate tranny and engine?

Got the motor all button up and it runs fine.. but have issue with the clutch that was replaced. I have no resistance in the clutch pedal.. Can someone steer me in the right direction.. I was reading that the slave cylinder might have to be bled...

I recently bought a used V8 engine. It was a deal that was to good to believe.

I got the VIN from the vehicle it was pulled from and got David to run a CarFax on it and it was all dead on. Just another way to verify or disprove claims of recyclers.
