lol...I just had my 130 lb. Akita AND my girls lil 20 lb. Shiba inu back there for a three hour trip. I had the big boy in the bed but it got too hot for em. It's better to Leash your dog up to a tie down cleat near the slider window and lay down a rug in the bed but layin the back seats flat with a big blanket tucked all around works well too. Afterwards, roll down all the windows, pop the slider and go 90 mph on the freeway....blows most the damn hair out.

I have a Yorkie, named Wicket. He mobs with me in the X-Runner. Only thing I have to do is clean the window from his slobber when he's not listening to me and laying down. HAHA

85 lb lab Akita mix only gets in the bed. he loves the truck . of course it takes him to the dog park and for doggie play dates most of the time. if its real hot he pokes his head through the back window and drools all over the sub. NO PETS IN THE CAB

I care more for my dog than to let him ride in the bed of the truck.
