Never good to read these threads, wouldn't trade in, always better to sell private party. Oh and I expect the parts vultures to be flying overhead momentarily. Best of luck to you.

I traded mine with about 70k miles, with faded headlights and dings and scratches here and there, and got 14,500. It was mostly back to stock. No supercharger on it anymore.

Damn wish you didn't have all the stock parts would easily drive to SD to swap you for some stuff. What stock items do you not have?

Man that sucks for me, but good to plan ahead. You'll get more money by putting it to stock first and selling you parts seperate. I doubt the dealership is gonna give you your moneys worth for the parts on trade in.

How many miles does yours have?

I went to CARMAX yesterday to see how much i'd get on trade in for my 07 with 110K miles and got offered $11K. Everything on their check list came out "good".

KBB and Nada are not very reliable in getting ideas on how much these are worth, You have to look at your competition and adjust your asking price accordingly... Of course dealers will cost more so you have to shoot below dealer listing but in the same area as other private party sellers.

For me the cheapest X-Runner in California is an 06 with 120K miles for $13,800... Just recently sold was an 05 with 130K miles for $13,500 and an 06 with 140K miles for $13,000.

While KBB for my truck is saying $11K high trade in and private is between $13k and $15k...

Really?, That's pretty good... But every low miled X I am seeing is running around $20K but for trade in that's pretty good... The more I read about carmax the more they hate cars with over 100K miles and will low ball as they won't sell it on their lot but instead send it to auction... While they have an 05 with 90k miles for $17K on a lot in texas :hmmmm2:

That sounds like Carmax was smoking something at the time, that's a decent price :dontknow:
It all comes down to the appraiser I think, They have someone baby sit you while they are doing the appraisal and after looking over what the girl put down it didn't specify X-Runner. But 2WD V6, She put down it had traction control and a bed liner... Didn't put down power windows, locks, cruise control etc... She didn't know what the hell she was doing. My babysitter apparently has never heard of X-Runner before either while he claimed he sold Toyota's for 5 years at the Toyota stealership.

Toon's truck has low miles and if you craigslist any 6cyl Tacoma they are going for a good chunk at the moment, So Carmax's offer is good trade in. Not so much in private party.

Congrats... Camaro5.com is a pretty good forum and much more active. I've used some of their write ups on a friends Camaro to fix a few issues.
