The moron who had my truck last decided to wreck not only the front end, but also the paint job. Looking to sand/primer the roof as its rusting, and wrap the rest of the truck so she's presentable. The front lip is missing so I've been wondering if the newer front bumpers would fit, and also the lip with it. Would I have to replace "everything" or have ppl easily swapped these over. TIA

Hi there, I was thinking about that last week. Im also interested in the newer front, looks good. I'm almost positive that the newer front will fit, i might have to adjust some brackets but at the end of the day it will look awesome. Lets see... That will be a project for this year

If I remember correctly you'll need the new hood, headlights, and bumper. Possibly the front fenders as well. The other issue is the new Tacoma is straight Black and not Black Sand Pearl so you would have to paint the new pieces to match the rest of the truck.

i gotta say I've been dying to see how a nice cowl hood would look on the X with the new front end. I think with all the new angles, instead of curves, it would look sweet.
So what parts did you have to buy? Can you throw out prices and any difficulties doing the swap?
