I would double check with Gadget on that.

Don't add the cam gears since you'll be turbo. If I remember correctly, it will change the overlap between intake and exhaust. Which will allow boost air back into the intake.

I would double check with Gadget on that.

I had the understanding that the stock exhaust cam timing didn't allow for all exhaust gases to fully exit the cylinder. Allowing this to happen would be better for boost correct? I emailed Gadget and am awaiting response about the cam gears and some other things that I'm going to need to purchase from him.

I decided to start on my recessed grill mod this afternoon. Fiberglass and bondo next...

The most time consuming methods. Tedious, and meticulous. The look, finish, and end result is by far worth the laborous efforts.

Which mesh did you use?

DO NOT ADD CAM GEARS WITH TURBO. G will tell you to take them out before tuning.

Awesome man. Yes don't put the cam gears in. I was told not to do so as well.

Don't forget to trim the back side of the grill about a 1/4 in or so

Glad you mentioned this because I totally forgot.

I've made some progress on the grill but need to test fit the intercooler first to check clearance. I took a slightly different approach and didn't use any fiberglass like I've seen in write ups. Thought I had fiberglass mat and resin at the house and I didn't. So i improvised. Some random plastic held to the grill with epoxy on the backside and then bondo and a ton of sanding. I think it worked out pretty good.

After working on a ton of cars today I somehow was motivated to throw the thermostat in the truck.

the golden trim for me was the width of a body saw blade guard.. meaning from the blade to the one side of the guard not the whole thing.. I only had to trim the bottom could have gone a tad more because it did ever so lightly rub on one side.

also the plastic nub at the bottom center of the grill will need to go that hit the IC big time..

if you now that your grill is out if you remove the center brace you can drop in the IC and fit in place.. everything uses existing stock bolts on the top support and existing holes in the bottom support.

Yeah this is why I don't really ride street much anymore.

So a small update. It was a busy week at work but I stayed late a few nights to do some small things on the truck. 170 degree tstat installed, intercooler test fitted with the grill and as StonerX said some trimming needs to be done, and my junkyard acquisition showed up so I installed the 70mm throttle body w/the URD adaptor!

If I didn't know any better I'd think this was my truck
Looking good!

With light trimming of the rad support the ic pipe will fit perfectly behind the headlights

I made a bracket that uses all factory bolts and some holes in the lower support.. that way it is very reversible without looking hacked up

Got really busy with work and the holidays. Small update. Trimmed the grill and then tested fitted it again. Clears the intercooler perfectly now! I primered it last night so after a little more sanding I'll probably send it out for paint. Also had my mid pipe welded up yesterday. If I have time for it I'm going to try to put the clutch in this week or weekend.
